Sofia Blount

Role

Sofia Blount is a Director at Omnia Strategy. Having co-founded the firm in 2011, her role focuses on firm strategy and business development.

Career

Sofia began her career working in political relations and communications for EADS in Paris. Sofia then worked at a high-profile sovereign wealth fund where she project managed a team to start up the operations of the fund and to oversee assignments that formulated governance, human resource and asset allocation strategies. In 2009 Sofia joined the special projects team of a major European downstream oil company, where she was embedded in a McKinsey strategy project to define the future operations of the Group. She left this post to complete her Graduate Diploma in Law, whilst working for the Africa Justice Foundation before Co-Founding Omnia with Julia and Cherie in 2011. She took a sabbatical from Omnia to tour the world with her husband in the summer of 2014, rejoining the partnership in January 2016. She is a Trustee of the Blue Marine Foundation and a keen supporter of environmental causes.

Qualifications

Sofia holds a BSc in Biological Sciences (honours) in Psychology and a Postgraduate Diploma in International Development. Sofia speaks French and Spanish. ​
