Ana Paula Montans is an experienced of Counsel specialising in international arbitration and qualified in Paris and Brazil. Ana Paula’s practice encompasses advising on international dispute resolution as well as international law and commercial matters. Ana Paula advises multinational corporations as well as sovereign States and private clients. She also sits as Arbitrator.

Career

Ana Paula’s diverse expertise encompasses handling disputes involving distribution, corporate, construction, telecommunications, and international sales contracts. She has been involved, as counsel and/or secretary to arbitral tribunals, in arbitration proceedings conducted under the auspices of the ICC, SCC, DIAC, CBMA (Brazil), AMCHAM (Brazil), NAFTA Chapter 11, ICSID, as well as ad-hoc proceedings under the UNCITRAL Arbitration Rules. Prior to joining Omnia Strategy, Ana Paula worked at an international arbitration boutique in Paris for eight years.

Qualifications

Ana Paula is qualified to practice in Brazil, where she obtained her Bachelor of Law Degree, and in Paris. She obtained a Master Degree and a D.S.U. in Private International Law and International Commercial Law at the University of Paris II. She has also obtained a Postgraduate Degree in International Litigation at the University of Paris XII. She has been Assistant Editor of the Revista Brasileira de Arbitragem (Brazilian Arbitration Review) since 2009. Ana Paula was recognized by Who’s Who Legal as a Future Leader – Arbitration 2021. She speaks English, French and Portuguese (fluently).
