Finance Assistant / Bookkeeper
Role
Paul was appointed as the firms Bookkeeper & Finance Assistant in July 2023. He supports the Chief Operating Officer with the day to day operational aspects of the firm’s finances across multiple currencies and assists with monthly management accounting and reporting.
Career
Paul has over 35 years experience working in the Finance / Practice Manager roles within the legal industry. His experience includes working for a wide range of legal firms covering different areas of the law. He has also been employed as a designated Practice Manager in multidisciplinary practices focusing on private client work, serious fraud, re-insurance loss adjusting and claims management.
Prior to joining Omnia Strategy, for 15 years Paul was the Practice & Finance Manager for a small boutique firm in the West End of London, becoming the overall Finance Manager following an amalgamation of the firm with a larger Bristol based practice. Following the merger of this firm into a much larger practice, he left to start his own consultancy business specifically to provide bespoke legal bookkeeping services to the legal industry.
Qualifications
Paul is a qualified, licenced Bookkeeper via the Association of Accounting Technicians (AAT). He is highly experienced with accounting and payroll software packages such as Moneysoft, Sage Payroll, Advanced (ALB), Insight Legal, Quill and Tikit. Paul is also highly proficient with Microsoft Excel. Away from work Paul is a qualified Master Scuba Diver Trainer (MSDT) and First Emergency Response Instructor.
