Role
Charlotte is an experienced Paralegal who supports Omnia’s team across the breadth of the practice working on international arbitration and disputes as well as and business and human rights.
Career
For over eight years, Charlotte has worked in law firms focussing on international arbitration and commercial litigation. She has handled everything from significant Investor-State arbitrations and BIT claims to smaller cases. Many of the matters that Charlotte has contributed to have connections to African and Latin American countries. Prior to working at Omnia, she was a Paralegal at a leading boutique arbitration firm and before that at a multinational practice where she held broad responsibilities ranging from translation services through to liaising with clients and experts and assisting in the drafting of claims and responses, document production and document review work. Charlotte has also worked as a translator in human rights’ investigations for the International Criminal Court, and for international NGOs, including in child protection and children’s rights.
Qualifications
Charlotte is fluent in French, Portuguese and Spanish. She speaks basic Arabic and has a working knowledge / understanding of Italian. She is a Qualified Member of the Institute of Translation of Interpreting as well as a Chartered Linguist of the Chartered Institute of Linguists. She holds a BA (Hons) from the University of Liverpool in Modern European Languages with a distinction in spoken Portuguese.
