ROLE
Adriana is an Associate whose practice focuses on international arbitration, public international law, and human rights. She has acted in high-profile contentious and non-contentious matters for private and government clients across Asia, Europe, and the Middle East.
CAREER
Adriana has represented clients in complex cross-border disputes across various jurisdictions and before multiple arbitral institutions, including the ICC, UNCITRAL, SIAC, and PCA. Her arbitration experience spans energy, infrastructure, construction, private equity, and carbon trading sectors, with cases seated in Europe, Asia, and the Middle East.
Adriana has extensive experience in public international law. She served as Legal Advisor to Timor-Leste in its land and maritime boundary negotiations and assisted in the landmark Compulsory Conciliation against Australia under Annex V of UNCLOS. She has also advised States in proceedings before the ICJ. Her work with States has provided her with a unique understanding of holistic dispute settlement strategies.
Complementing her disputes experience, Adriana has advised clients on matters of treaty interpretation, treaty drafting, investment law, maritime law, international humanitarian law, international environmental law, and major cross-border infrastructure projects. She also has a strong foundation in business and human rights. She has advised clients on international human rights obligations and conducted human rights due diligence assessments with reference to relevant international legal frameworks and standards.
Prior to joining Omnia, Adriana worked at a Magic Circle law firm in London and an international law firm in Sydney, where she advised States and private actors on public international law and cross-border disputes.
