Statement – Botswana Election 2024.

Omnia Strategy welcomes the momentous decision of the Botswanan people to vote for a change in government after 58 years, in the country’s election on 31 October 2024. We recognise both the enthusiasm for a new direction within the electorate and the graciousness of outgoing President Masisi’s public concession.

With the long-serving BDP administration accepting defeat at the ballot box, the country enters a new era under President-elect Duma Boko and the Umbrella for Democratic Change. Botswana has a proud history of democracy and stability, and the peaceful transition of power serves to underline the country’s deep-rooted commitment to the rule of law and provides an opportunity for renewal.
