Cherie Blair delivers the Annual Lecture at Future Resilience Forum.
23rd October 2025
Cherie Blair CBE KC delivered the Annual Lecture at the Future Resilience Forum (FRF) in London on Monday (20 October 2025) before an audience of international business leaders, diplomats, politicians and representatives of civil society.
Cherie reflected on how the Rule of Law remains the foundation of global peace, justice, and stability.
Cherie explored the growing pressures on international law โ from climate change and cyber conflict to mass migration and artificial intelligence.
Her message was clear: in a fragmented world, resilience begins with law โ the framework that protects the weak, restrains the powerful, and sustains both justice and security for all. Yet, the law must continue to evolve to adapt to the modern work and inspire confidence and legitimacy.
Cherie explores these themes further in a piece published in The Times today (link in the comments).
FRF is a global initiative bringing together leaders from law, business, and government to explore how societies can build resilience in an era of rapid change and uncertainty.
FRF was hosted by Fiona Hill CBE. Mrs. Blair also took part in a fireside conversation with Can รztaล, LL.M., Ph.D. Mrs. Blair was supported by the FRF team, alongside Omniaโs James Palmer and Aladdin Benali.
