ROLE

Julia is an experienced commercial litigator having worked on numerous cases brought in the Business and Property Courts of England and Wales. She has also been involved in commercial arbitrations brought before a variety of institutions.

CAREER

She trained at a niche commercial firm and following qualification as a solicitor, she has worked on numerous international commercial cases and commercial arbitrations concerning breach of contract, civil fraud, injunctions and professional negligence. She is developing her experience in Investor Treaty Arbitration.

QUALIFICATIONS

Julia completed her L.L.B; L.L.M and Legal Practice Course (LPC) at BPP University London. She took the Bar Professional Training Course (BPTC) at City University London achieving ‘Very Competent’ grade. Julia was called to the Bar of England & Wales in 2015 and is currently a non-practising barrister. She cross qualified as a solicitor and was admitted to the roll of England & Wales in 2020. She is an associate of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators, member of Young ICSID and a member of the Young International Group of the LCIA. She has undertaken the ‘Introduction to International Arbitration’ course and assessment with the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators and the ‘Arbitration Online Training Course’ with the International Chamber of Commerce (ICC). Julia speaks English and Swahili fluently and is currently learning Mandarin, which she speaks to a basic level.
