Alyson focuses her practice on international arbitration, investment disputes and business and human rights. She has assisted legal teams on international arbitration cases under the ICC and ICSID rules as well as English litigations.
Before joining Omnia, Alyson was a Paralegal in the Intellectual Property Litigation practice of an multinational law firm. She has gained a wide range of experience including as a visiting Foreign Lawyer in the International Arbitration practice of another American law firm in London and completed internships at several leading international practices in Germany, France and the USA. She has assisted an arbitrator in a dispute regarding a failed joint-venture and assisted legal teams on an intellectual property team with a case before the English Supreme Court, an energy wind mill dispute, two internet name domain cases (ICANN) under the AAA’s ICDR rules, and an oil investment arbitration case between an UAE oil company and an Iranian state-owned oil entity.
Alyson holds a BA (Hons) in Law & Business from Warwick University, an LL.M in French and European Law, from the University Panthéon-Sorbonne (Paris I) and an LL.M in US law (and arbitration) from Georgetown University. Alyson is also currently enrolled to sit the New York Bar, which has been delayed due to Covid-19 restrictions. Alyson speaks French and English, fluently, and a basic level of understanding in Chinese.
